Who is MultiPortal for?

MultiPortal was created with the goal of centralizing the management of multiple Proxmox environments through a single, unified platform equipped with a console that brings together all the tools necessary for supervising, controlling, and monitoring geographically distributed systems and applications.

Therefore, the MultiPortal platform is particularly relevant for:

  • Medium and large enterprises and institutions – that operate multiple distributed systems and want to integrate them into a consistent working environment.
  • Specialized cloud providers and digital service providers – offering private cloud, public cloud, and hybrid services, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS hosting, or any digital services such as BaaS, DaaS, etc.
  • Specialized cybersecurity service providers – delivering SOC, SOCaaS, and other cybersecurity services.
  • Data centers, telecom operators, IT and ICT service providers – offering cloud hosting, cloud computing, colocation services, and more.

The advantages of MultiPortal

  • Multi-Tenant – manage multiple independent organizations/clients within a single platform.
  • Multi-Proxmox environment support – manage distributed Proxmox environments from a single console.
  • Resource allocation – assign resources in a pay-as-you-go model.
  • Virtual machine management – manage snapshots and backups, track performance metrics and system health – all from a single console.
  • VM templates and ISO image support – create public and private import catalogs and store VM templates and ISO images, simplifying VM creation and provisioning.
  • Internal and external network management – a full set of tools for managing internal and external networks, from Layer 2 configuration to self-service options for tenants to create internal networks.
  • Virtual machine import – migrate existing VMs to the MultiPortal platform regardless of their running state, ensuring service continuity.
  • Backup configuration management – integrate with Proxmox native backup, delegate backup permissions, configure automated backups, save and restore backup settings with one click, manage backup tasks, monitor free backup space, and enable tenants to restore data themselves directly from the MultiPortal console.
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) – configure and customize administrative roles, delegate administrative permissions to tenants, partners, subcontractors, and end-users, ensuring the right tools are available to the right users.
  • SSO integration – support for Single Sign-On (SSO) with Google and Microsoft authentication.
  • Storage management with dynamic policies – assign friendly names to available disks, group them by performance policy (e.g., bronze, silver, gold), automatically assign disks when creating VMs, and control storage access with IOPS and read/write operation limits.
  • Delegated VM configuration – allow tenants to create and configure VMs and adjust their parameters via the intuitive MultiPortal console interface.
  • Native API support – automate all key operations: monitor VDC usage, create tenants, provision resources, and much more thanks to MultiPortal’s API-driven architecture.

What is MultiPortal used for?

The MultiPortal platform can be used across many scenarios. The most popular use cases include:

  • IT/ICT service providers and data centers – cost-effective systems for managing distributed Proxmox virtual environments in private cloud, public cloud, or hybrid solutions.
  • Public administration – management of distributed Proxmox systems located in multiple facilities or data centers, with controlled and secure access to resources.
  • Educational institutions – IT resource virtualization for students and staff with data backup protection, using multiple facilities or data centers equipped with the highly cost-efficient Proxmox virtualization platform.
  • Hosting companies – the ability to offer competitively priced hosting solutions in the form of distributed Proxmox systems managed from a single point, with secure and controlled access to resources for authorized users.

How do I get started with MultiPortal?

You have several options depending on your needs. You can start with a 2-week free trial with full access to all features and unlimited CPU slots in the Standard edition. Alternatively, you can use the free version limited to 4 CPUs. Simply fill out the form on the vendor’s website. If you still have questions, feel free to contact us by phone or email.

Is MultiPortal free?

Yes. You can start with a 2-week free trial that gives full access to all features and an unlimited number of CPU slots in the Standard edition. Simply fill out the form on the vendor’s website to get started.

How is MultiPortal different from other solutions?

MultiPortal enables Service Providers and Enterprises to efficiently manage multi-tenant virtual environments across multiple data centers. The platform is designed to streamline virtual machine (VM) management, unify operations, and boost the efficiency of your cloud infrastructure — all within the Proxmox ecosystem.

Can I customize MultiPortal console with my own branding?

Yes. With a Standard or Enterprise license, you can customize the MultiPortal console by uploading your own logo and changing the application name. This allows MultiPortal to be presented as a solution fully aligned with your brand.

Is my data safe using MultiPortal?

Yes. MultiPortal is ISO/IEC 27001 certified. It doesn’t store or host your data — everything runs within your environment, keeping all virtual machines, configurations, and client data fully under your control. All plans — Community, Standard, and Enterprise — come with encrypted communication, secure authentication, and the guarantee that no data ever leaves your infrastructure. You remain the owner of your environment, while MultiPortal provides a safe, reliable platform to manage it all.

Can I change subscription Plan during subscription?

Plan upgrade or downgrade is possible:

  • Upgrade to a higher plan: If you are using the Community or Standard plan, you can switch at any time to Standard or Enterprise, respectively. You will receive a new license key that unlocks the features of the new plan. The condition for receiving the new key is the payment of the corresponding fee.
  • Downgrade to a lower plan: If needed, you can also move to a lower plan. In this case, a new license key will also be issued, and the features will be reduced to the selected plan. Refunds for the unused portion of the discontinued plan are not available.

Your data remains intact during both upgrades and downgrades, so you can change plans without worrying about service interruptions.

Can I cancel MultiPortal subscription?

After license cancellation:

  • Subcontractors and Service Providers lose full access. The platform switches to a restricted mode, where only the license page is visible.
  • Tenants retain limited access for a transitional period (around 2 weeks) to complete necessary migrations. After this period, access is fully blocked.
  • Want to resume access later? Simply contact us — we can help reactivate your license and restore full functionality.
  • Refunds for the unused portion of the subscription period are not available.
