Seamless Migration of wefox Insurance AG’s Insurance Contracts to Direct Ubezpieczenia

Market transformations in the insurance industry required that ownership changes of the wefox policy portfolio be followed by significant technical data migration processes. Due to the size of the databases and the complexity of the architecture of the insurance IT systems, this is an operation that requires extensive engineering experience and industry-specific knowledge. We faced such a task in the case of the migration of wefox Insurance AG's policies to Direct Ubezpieczenia, which was related to a transaction between these two insurers. We carried it out on behalf of Unext Sp. z o.o. – the representative of both companies in Poland.

The operation required us to perform multidirectional activities related to both data transfer and integration with third-party systems, the Insurance Guarantee Fund, distributors and agencies. Thanks to our technological support, the transfer of the insurance portfolio went flawlessly, ensuring a seamless transition for customers and the insurer. It was also unnoticeable to agents. We carried out the migration without any interruptions or disruptions. We ensured the continuity of the process of changing the owner of insurance contracts from the IT side, preserving the full protection of customers’ policies and maintaining Unext Sp. z o.o.’s ability  to manage claims settlement.
